it me

Welcome! I'm Nikki,

a student at Stanford University.

I love designing and developing websites.

Update: Please note that I am currently not accepting work right now.

PAST WORK

TransplantNet

I am the full-stack designer and developer of TransplantNet (TNet), a nonprofit web application. On TNet, organ transplant recipients and the families of their donors can safely contact one another, and their social workers can conveniently process their letters. TNet also presents information about organ donation and publishes the powerful letters written by users, hopefully inspiring general visitors to become registered donors.

The technologies I used to build the website are HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript + jQuery, and the Wordpress CMS. Click on either of the images to check it out! (The first goes to the main website; the second goes to the user portal.)

Straight Shot LLC

Straight Shot LLC is a family-owned business that sells a popular scope mounting device. Before, their eCommerce website (run on Wordpress) was in a both functionally and aesthetically sad state of existence .

Using the text that was already there, I completely revamped their entire website. The job included designing and implementing both a new responsive Wordpress theme layout and original content presentation design. The website now features seamless embedded video, brand-enhancing colors and fonts, parallax effects, clear calls to action, and more to promote their product. Also, I beautified the shop display, installed an analytics tracker, and improved their SEO. Click on the screenshot to check it out!

Tech: PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, Wordpress + Woocomerce. Also used Pixelmator to create/edit graphics and images.

RATES
Web Development & Design

YOU CHOOSE: BUDGET VS PREMIUM

I have two sets of pricing, budget and premium. Premium packages include my best, most attentive work, and the end result is a top-quality, trendy and modern website. Meanwhile, budget packages include fewer features and less perfectionism in the site design. However, the end result will still be high-quality because I would never launch a website that I am not proud of. Budget websites are priced significantly lower than premium ones because they are much more quickly done. Basically, my budget pricing exists because I know many businesses are on a budget and don't necessarily need a website with all the bells and whistles .

MONEY MATTERS

Many freelance developers charge five times my rates (and sometimes more!) for the same quality product.

Premium DIY website builders charge annual rates that build up, while I only bill once for a website that will last as long as you want it to. Moreover, their free plans often have distracting and unprofessional banner ads.

Payment will be easy and secure, through PayPal email invoicing (unless you prefer another method).

THINGS TO NOTE

The page limits listed above are pretty flexible. They also do not count any automatic news and product pagination.

The rates above do not include the rolling costs that you must pay to your web hosting and domain registration provider(s). (All websites need both. I will help you set them up.) These are separate from my services as a developer.

If none of the packages above seem to suit you, no worries. Tell me what your site requires and I'll give you a free estimate.

Come with a design in mind or have me create one for you.
